Anchorage OpenCoffee

First OCC in Anchorage: July 16, 2007

Now that I'm back in Alaska, after 18 months of startups and business in the Seattle area...I've finally setup a group in an effort to launch OpenCoffee in Anchorage.

Open Coffee Club PITTSBURGH

My colleague and I stumbled across OpenCoffee Club last April, and we were instantly impressed with the concept and wanted to start OCC Pittsburgh.

Our first 5 meetings have been a great success as we have had the opportunity to meet many budding entrepreneurs and local investors in various coffee shops in and around Pittsburgh.

Our next meeting will be Friday, August 10th (9am) at the Coffee Tree Roasters on Walnut St. in ShadySide. We hope to see you there.

Cool idea

To be honest this (Open Coffee Club) is a pretty cool place to be.

I've been looking to establish an online blog/presence on a social networking site for a while, but the likes of Myspace and Facebook just weren't what I was looking for.

I may go down that way further down the line, but the opportunity to connect with likeminded/business focussed individuals is really cool.

What to do with the iPhone

There are two well defined camps around the IPhone. Those for and against (surprise, surprise). Most of the people against seem to be disgruntled IPod owners complaining about dead batteries. Those for are Apple fanatics, consumer activists.
