my name's Marc and I'm the Group Director of Seven, an online and print magazine based in the UK.
I'm currently looking for the right investment to secure the future of a project and would love to meet anyone who can offer advice or help.
I've been working on the project for nearly three years and it has been an amazing experience.
When we secured an interview with Christian Bale, having only been online for six months, it reinforced my belief that this is a special project and one I want more people around the globe to know about.
If you'd like to know more, feel free to contact me.
I like the mag and its themes, there is a very large global audience with perspectives, wants and fears that are barely represented....an interesting cultural spectrum of not so small niches.
I'd like to hear a little more about the project and your perception of the target audience.
I'll have a look at the links later

apologies, but i can't find those links on either your or my comment section/blog or email....can you re post them for me....
The links seem encouraging, as they all carry elements of a common theme, crucial to a developing 'identity'...... i guess the problem is to maintain momentum in terms of genrating PR to build on such promising exposure. I like the idea of establishing thematic narratives associated with the work of NGO's and 'kindred' businesses. Through that network, you should be able to generate some original stories..even if only items are covered as comment pieces, either through invited writers or in house, it may be possible to do agenda setting pieces that could develop a kind of viral traction.....and so broader referencing....
The reality TV issue feeds into that....i guess the name and shame (or simple identification) is an issue of risk and reward....if it's libellous and you cannot prove it, then not worth the risk....if it's 'public interest', funny or both, then why not....but it does depend on the context.
If this reality thing is for this blog only....i'd leave the names out until you're sure of the audience....good stuff is wasted on a duff head count and tease them a little to get the thread moving.
As for the mag, what such a strategy (the reality TV bust) seems to have going for it is solid identification and thematic development, although the audience my be a little bit 'mediacentric' ...and so your call, but it may have legs in terms of the development of profile and add a nice activist hue to the narrative. The issues you wish to draw attention to have a common underlying theme of violence - using a fairly flexible definition - and there is no way of avoiding engagement with the underbelly of cause and consequence....i gues that means without a little bite and attitude, there's a danger of being perceived as a little precious, even specious.....a fashion or fad .... fleeting and inconsequential, no matter how momentarily ego satisfying...bite and meat are necessary.....which carries risks of course, but nothing compared to those of limted exposure or worse, unmoved or unispired readers cannot be converted into paying customers.
Just thought

How to give it legs.....seems to me you need an agenda and some good stories (not necessarily pure text either....a powerful visual style is important)....you have some good contacts and calls, there is so much out there uninvestigated and questioned....or presented from a very parrtial view....it can be low cost, sassy and smart....'events dear boy' as i was reminded today....carry opportunitites to comment, promote and argue....you are the spice....
Thanks for the invite. Look forward to hearing from you. Take care.
