Here's me
Hi everyone, my name is John and I'm the Managing Director of AboutMyArea, the interactive community website for grown-ups (www.aboutmyarea.co.uk).
We're a network of over 220 franchisees operating almost 300 local interactive community websites on a postcode basis. We've just celebrated our third birthday and we're seriously looking to expand our operation both in the UK and then into other countries.
We're unique in that we're about community first, each site is run by a member of it's local community covering truly local issues, events and much more. As a result of this primary focus our franchisees find attracting business advertisers an easier task than if it were just another online directory, which we most certainly are not!
I'd appreciate any feedback and comment of course but I'd really like to talk to like minded entrepreneurs and investors to develop strategic alliances and discuss investment opportunities.
We know we've got it right, we now want to accelerate our position.
