What I was is in part of what I am. What I am is not what I am going to be. 

I was born July 20, 1939, in Newtown Ohio. I was raised in tri-state area of Ky. Oh. Ind. I was raised in part by Lee Schneider a Horse Trader, and a good person who lives in Alexandria Ky. I am sound of mind & healthy, stand 6 ft, weight 205 # 

I have two married daughters in Kentucky. I am an auctioneer, have been an appraiser (Nashville school of Auctioneering and Appraisal). I have held a real-estate license (Long and Foster Gaithersburg MD). In addition, I have a self enforced continuing education program in basic computer skills. I hold a KY. class A CDL license. I have an Honorable discharge from service aboard the U.S.S Monrovia APA 31 U.S. Navy, 1956 to 60. I have been involved with the horse world all my life. 

I am a Christian non-smoker, non drinker, no drugs. I live the cowboy life style and like dancing. I enjoy training horses, and make my living that way. I don’t like to compete. 

Presently; I start horses under saddle and train them for riding and/or driving single or multi hitch, Drafts/Work horses or Light/Carriages horse, and train dogs for Obedience and Pulling. I also do remedial training with both animals. I communicate well with people or animals. 

I did raised Australian Queensland Blue Heelers (Cattle Dogs) for 15 years. I have had two personal Queensland Blue Heelers. One named Heeler for 17 years who died in 1986 and Jingles for 20 years, who on June 4, 2008 decided he wanted to chase the Devils Herd across the endless sky. Both were the nicest dogs to be around, be you stranger, friend, adult, child, or animal. I traveled to Central America and South America, Canada and across the United States with a Blue Heeler’ and never had a problem. 

I owned and operated from 1982 through 1990; two horse drawn carriage services with 16 employees, 25 head of heavy and light horses, and 19 vehicles, among which were two, 48 passenger Horse Drawn Street Cars for the purpose of service to the motor coach tour industry of Cincinnati Ohio, Covington Ky. and Frederick Md. My daughters and I designed and assisted in their construction.

I was a member of Rose Hill Carriage Society of Frederick Md. As a member I participated in presenting five (5) ADS (American driving society) driving) shows, in the capacity of Chairman of the Horse show committee and course designer. During this membership I presented several “Introduction to Driving Horses” clinics. 

I traveled briefly (10days 1978) to Venezuela and (8 days1979) Costa Rica seeking new experiences. Since 1999 I have traveled about in a two-horse trailer with living quarters endeavoring to learn and better understand the horse; which I feel will enhance an all ready intimate relationship for both of us. I am not a disciple of any particular concept of training methods. I am a disciple of good humane horsemanship and progressive training. I feel Greatness comes from many sources. As I worked for various people I collected a bag of letters as to my work and character references. 

Through out life, especially through travel I see many methods, techniques, equipment and application to training horses. This opportunity of new experiences has enhanced my understanding of how important it is to keep my mind open to learning and my opinions open to persuasion. When I find something new I like I incorporate it into my Modus operandi. I am a disciple of learning.

I spent some time training horses and gathering cows in Santa Ynez Valley, of Central California; Atascadero, Paso Robles, Sacramento, Buellton and Burbank area. 

I worked as a wrangler/horseman on several “City Slicker” type drives for the San Juan Ranch near the Carrisa Plains N.E. of Paso Robles CA. supporting the guest in their adventure of cattle drives. 

I worked in Red Deer Canada for less than a month in Feb.03 too cold for me @ 40 below even though they had a heated indoor arena.

In Feb. & March of 2003 I was part of gathering and sorting 300 plus wild horses for the Shoshone Indians on the Dann sister’s ranch (for the Dann Sisters) between the Cortez and Shoshone Mountain range of NV. Near, Crescent Valley, NV.  That experience was exciting and heart breaking.

My philosophy on horses is the same with people, that being; trust will come to those proven trust worthy. 

I have found that if I can do it, anyone can. If you can do it, I can do it, perhaps not as well as you. I don’t want to be the best at anything….But’ what I do I want to be good at.
