What's with 09/09/09?

9/9/09 is upon us. It doesn't mean much – it only means that all three digits enumerating the day, month, and year are all the same number. However, you can't stop people from being superstitious; as 9/9/09 will play to that crowd– you can imagine what 6/6/06 must have done to some people.

The Japanese word for the number is the same for the word for "suffering." (The number 4 is the same as the word for death.) Also, it's the 252nd day of the year – add up 2, 5, and 2 – and get 9. People play the lotto, or look for cheap wedding deals – but unfortunately, the rates for mortgage loan modification or anything else significant doesn't change on 9/9/09.

Whatever the reason behind why such date like 09/09/09 is so talked about, the fact that remains true that we are the one who creates our future. On what to do and what we believe in. I just hope we will always take the right path of life for our own good. 09/09/09 will only be a date - it may be significant for others and for some it will be just an ordinary.
