Place for people who love startups to hang out and meet

Just started learning Rails/Ruby in the last few weeks but very quickly I feel like I can be productive with this framework. Coming from the .Net world I'm amazed with all the little things that Rails helps you with that make such a big difference for most web apps and it just feels good developing in TextMate and Rails. I'm still having a little trouble with things like installing RMagick and its dependencies like ImageMagick. Deploying to a VPS is going to be a concern as well.

well this url below soothed my concerns about deployment (to HostingRails at least). It worked like a charm

now that I've got that up I'll be going back in and trying to get the RMagick stuff working again. Thanks for the link

Hi Mark, I'm in a similar boat as you. This article helped me: http://macournoyer.wordpress.com/2007/06/19/dont-you-wanna-feel-the-rmagick-pain/

Cheers, Brian
