This Toastmasters 2007-08, I was a major driving force in propelling two struggling clubs--Emperor Mandarin and CaMaNaVa (later appended with a Brunch as a marketing tack) to President's Distinguished and mere Distinguished clubs, respectively. I would like to thank all those who provided the necessary support through thick and thin. Thanks also to Bo Bennett of FreeToastHost for providing free websites for Toastmasters clubs. All members I recruited into the two clubs came from the FreeToastHost websites--
emperor.freetoasthost.com and
camanava.freetoasthost.ws.
To achieve such required lots of passion and patience. There were lean days but the important thing to keep in mind is to keep meetings productive. Productivity can range from having members deliver their manual speech projects to guests or prospective members showing up or signing up. Never cancel meetings. You will never know who is going to show up or sign up for membership at a meeting.
