My goal in the future is to create an organization that will better society in a variety of ways. It will be similar to a charity in some ways but it won't be a non-profit. The goal of the company will be to create or re-engineer products to better society. Possible examples would be better and cheaper housing, more environmentally sound household goods, healthier food, etc. The trick will be to create better goods but keep them as cheap or cheaper than name brand goods. We'll be able to do that by shaving margins (since the primary goal will be to make improvements and not necessarily the most money that can be made). I'm going to start a network soon to get in touch with others that would like to share ideas, get involved, or donate money to a cause like this.
