Tips on starting / jump-starting a group
G'day,
Just discovered OpenCoffee club (today) and I'm keen to invigorate the group in Edinburgh. There's 7 members right now (8 now that I've joined) and I'm unsure what type of meetings (if any) are going on.
I'd welcome any suggestions on how to inject some life into the group. Here's what I plan to do:
+ Set a date and time for a (re)launch meeting
+ Invite as many people as I can personally (50-100)
+ Try to generate some press buzz
Any tips on the last point would be great. Any stock press releases? Any mailing lists or other groups I could tap into? Any national chains interested in hosting the event?
